The history of gardens and parks can be traced back to the Egyptians or to the famous hanging gardens of Babylon. The focus and the style of gardens and parks evolved and changed not only through time but also according to the geographical area they were being created in. Not so much for purely botanical and climatic reasons but more for the different focus, ideology and purpose, the French and Italian gardens being very different from the English or the Asian ones. The evolution of gardens, reflection of the culture and society, is a fascinating and rich field of study which we could easily delve into and visually accompany thanks to the innumerable images to choose from.
